Sports Podiatry and Bio Mechanical Assessments

Biomechanical Assessments

Do you or someone you know suffer from;
  • Sore and painful pressure points on your feet?
  • Plantar Fasciitis or heel pain?
  • Lower back pain, sore knees or ankles?
  • Recurring blisters when playing sport?
  • Or have you had custom orthotics made, without a review in the last 12 months?

If you answered yes to any of these, maybe it’s time to have a Biomechanical Assessment to really understand and fix these concerns once and for all!

Because who wants to walk around with sore feet!

Kids Feet

Kids Feet (Paediatrics)

The anatomy and function of a child’s foot differs significantly to that of an adult, and subsequently, the potential medical conditions and complications are also notably different.

At different developmental stages, some concerning observations may be noted, such as children walking on their toes, walking with their feet turned in or out, or ‘fallen arches’.

Generally these variations are quite normal, and most children will grow out of these with time. However some may be early indications or risk factors for future foot complications.

Assessment by a Podiatrist will allow for early detection and will ensure your child receives any intervention or foot care they may require.

Foot Orthoses

Foot Orthoses

One of the treatment options that may be utilised by the team at Windsor Podiatry to resolve your foot pain and correct biomechanical abnormalities is foot orthotics or orthoses.

Orthotics are worn in your shoes and alters the position, support points and function or force in your foot and lower limb.

Custom made Orthotics

Custom made Orthotics are manufactured from a scan of your foot by your Podiatrist right in the clinic at Windsor Podiatry.

This allows for a customised treatment where the Podiatrist can accurately address the problem identified within your foot’s posture and function and improve this.
